Safawi dates are striking for their deep, dark color and are known for their rich, complex flavor. They are one of the most commercially available premium dates from Medina.
Appearance & Taste
Medium to large, elongated, and wrinkly. The color is a very deep black with red undertones. Soft, moist, and chewy texture. The flavor is sweet and rich, somewhat similar to Ajwa but less complex.

Originates from the Al-Madinah region of Saudi Arabia. The palm trees are known for their high productivity. Harvest occurs in early July for the Tamr stage.
